As if the world needed one more technological advancement the BBC; yeah, I know the BBC; came out with a new device that allows it's user to control their television with their minds. Talk about having a telekinetic ability to watch your favorite parliament proceedings and then instantly switching to cartoons. I mean think about it, how many times have you been watching a program and all of the sudden a commercial comes on, or you become uninterested in the current show that you're watching. But, the goddamn remote is all the way across the living room, and you just don't have the strength or the energy to get out of your armchair to actually do something about it.
Well luckily for you Mr. Future, you no longer have to endure the perils of lifting yourself to your feet to flip the dial because you can now control your T.V. With your freaking mind. Now this is just a prototype, but the 10 BBC staff testers were all able to launch iPlayer and select programming by simply just thinking about it. How exactly does this fancy piece of human advancement work you ask?
Well, there is a fancy headband you put on and the, ““electroencephalography (EEG) brainwave reading headset has one small sensor that rests on a user’s forehead and another on a clip that attaches to the ear. These sensors measure electrical activity in the brain.” Which gives the user a completely new interface and BBC Digital plans on expirmenting with more mind conrtol devices in the future. Boasting that this could be the next step in modern gaming stating that BBC Digital, “is always looking at ways of using technology to satisfy people’s increasing desire to get to the digital content that they want as quickly and easily as possible – such as using voice-control with BBC iPlayer on Xbox One,”
I can't wait until they start integrating this stuff into pornography.
