Childhood Actor Who Played Young Anakin Skywalker Sends South Carolina Police On A High Speed Chase
Jake Lloyd, you might not remember his name from Jingle All the Way and more importantly the Phantom Menace, he was the child actor who portrayed a young Anakin Skywalker. Going down the path of most childhood actors he was recently arrested in Charleston, South Carolina for taking police on a high speed chase that spanned two counties.
He was spotted driving recklessly when the local Sheriff's office attempted to pull him over. He must have thought he was trying to evade the dark side of the force when he eventually plowed through a fence into a treeline. Jake is now facing charges of failure to stop, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and driving without a license.
Lloyd blames George Lucas for making his life a “living hell” in an interview he did in 2012. He claimed that children would often poke fun at him by making light saber noises every time they saw him. It drove him made, and apparently drove him into some timber. He also stated that he learned to hate when the cameras were on him and has destroyed his Star Wars memorabilia.
He probably should have stuck to pod racing.
