Filmmaker Blends All Six Star Wars Films Together
Do you have time in your busy life to sit through an entire Star Wars marathon? Hell no you don't, this is the age of rapid information technology and ain't no body got time for that. At least that's the thinking behind what one experimental filmmaker who calls himself Maurcs took into consideration when he blended all six of George Lucas' space operas into one two and a half hour mind bending epic eloquently dubbed Star Wars Wars.
I got a bad feeling about this.
The video is just a mess of lightsaber battles, starship explosions, and barely coherent robotic dialogue layered on top of one another, but there's an artistic beauty in what Maurcs created here and even seems brilliant at times. The whole video is a little hard to watch, and any attempt to keep the audio on will probably leave your with a blistering migraine.
Maurcs better known as Marcus Rosentrater is actually the main animator for a little known show called Archer, and bringing a little bit of visual confection to the screen seems to be where this artist really radiates.
Sure, Star Wars Wars is completely unwatchable due to layer upon layer of on screen chaos, but in a world where everything has already been said and done. This man created something that hasn't, and that is an accomplishment in itself.
